Winning and losing the game

Players win the game by getting 3 Victory points or a player loses by losing their Castle or all Warlords

Gameplay

Starting with the first player (by roll off or whatever all players agree too) and going around clockwise, each player will do the same action before moving to the next in the following order. Revolt, Battle, Move, Build, New first player.

REVOLTS!

During the Revolt phase, each player that has a Minion on a Territory with the cube on unhappy (Red) Mood lose 1 Minion.

Battle

If two or more opponents have Warlords on the same Territory, they have a BATTLE! Turn the Mood tracker to unhappy (RED)! Each player involved does the following:

ADD Power Value
- Counting the Power of all Warlords and their Armies
- Roll a 6-sided dice and add the number to the total Power
- Add any bonus from Upgrades to the Power number
- Add any Power bonus from any other means.

CHOOSE! – If there is more than one opponent… Pick an opponent that you want to battle with and deal the DAMAGE!

Damage! A players total Power is damage done to your opponent’s Armies or Warlords. All damage is done at that same time, so if a player is being attacked by two opponents, add up all Power of both attackers before removing any Armies or Warlords. To apply damage. Do the following.

- Players MUST take the Power damage and applying it to their Armies or Warlords equal to their health.
- If the damage is equal to the Armies health, move the cube down the Armies tracker indicated it lost one of its Armies. If the damage is equal to a Warlords health, remove it from the game along with its Armies.
- If a player can no longer apply damage because its not enough to kill anything, the left-over damage discarded.
- Players don’t apply damage to the Warlord unless all Armies are gone.

(Example: Player A has a total of power of 18 and Player B has a total power of 15. Player B applies 18 Damage to their Skeletons their 10 skeletons that have 2 Health each. They remove 9 of the 10 skeletons by moving the cube on the army tracker from 10 to 1(Example 1), Player A takes 15 damage. Player A only has 2 dragons of 8 health each. Player A applies 8 damage to one dragon and moves the cube from 2 to 1 but have 7 damage left over that can’t kill the other dragon. This damage can also not be applied to Player as Warlord because they have a dragon left in their Army so the 7 damage is discarded.)

Example 1

Repeat this step unless a player decides to retreat to another of their own Territories that they control with no opponents!

If a player retreats and the opponent now is the only one on the Territory, they now control that Territory. Return all buildings back to the original owners.

If a Battle was at a castle and it is lost to an opponent. That player loses the game.

Move

Players may move their Warlords (with Armies) to another Territory.

Build

Starting with the first player and going clockwise. Players will do the following in order

Build Armies - If a Warlords is on a Territory that they own that has a Building that can build Armies, build up to the max number of Armies indicated on that Building. Place a cube on the Armies tracker (if none present) to the number the player would like to build. If a cube is already on the tracker move the cube that many spaces up the tracker. Players may split the max number between multiple Warlords. If there is more than one Building that can make Armies, players may do both.

(Example - Character: Lilia and Character: Bob is on the Misty Forest that that has a Rose Garden that can produce 2 battling armies. Player A adds a cube and puts it on 1 Battling on Lilia (Example 2) and adds one battling onto Bobs army tracker. Bob already had a battling on it so moves it to the second spot (Example 3)

After building your army players may…

Players count their GOLD from all their controlled
Territories, Buildings and Castle and spends it in any order.

Warlord – paying its cost (located on the card) and putting the token on their Home Territory card. Attach two different Armies cards onto that Warlord.
Buildings – paying its cost (located on the card) and put the token on any controlled Territory.
Mood tracker – paying its cost (located on the card) to change the Mood tracker from unhappy (RED) to happy (GREEN).
